The (real) Story Behind

Founded in Singapore in 2023, Kholifa Kids is a independent children’s book haven rooted in a deep love and keen appreciation for Islamic Sacred Knowledge, and the empowering power of stories.

Kholifa Kids grew from its founder’s longstanding love for words, and her pursuit of beneficial knowledge. In her school days, English language was her strongest academic pursuit—an unexpected distinction for a student who set foot on the path of science. Though her professional direction led her to science, her love for language endured as a quiet yet constant thread in her life together with her pursuit for Islamic knowledge that remains closely woven in her day-to-day life till today.

Kholifa Kids brings these enduring interests together to make meaningfully selected children’s books accessible to Muslim families here at home. We believe that children’s books can do more than entertain. Stories can play a strong role in nurturing a child’s positive relationship with Islam, beneficial knowledge, and the world around them.

Kholifa Kids hopes to serve families with intention and to honour the act of seeking knowledge. Our hope is that every book placed into a young reader’s hands becomes a small but meaningful part of their growth—cultivating a love of knowledge, strengthening their sense of identity, and nurturing qualities that Allah is pleased with.

May Allah place barakah in this work and make it a means of goodness for the children and families we serve. Amin.
